WORKING TOWARD PERFECTION

Rhythm & Blues Stallion

For several years, I have been devoting myself to dressage. To obtain obedience, strength, lightness, suppleness and elegance, in my opinion, a horse must be trained following certain rules and classical principles of horsemanship, in accordance with his characteristics and within his limits.

I currently train and perform at FEI Prix St. George and Intermediate 1 level. I aim the Grand Prix level within the next few years. Since 2005, I am recognized as an Athlete of the Elite Category within the Program for the Development of Excellence (In Quebec, the number of Elite athletes is limited to 12, all equestrian disciplines inclusive).

Having completed a BA in Management in 2006, I now wish to fully devote myself to my passion, to complete my training and to transmit my knowledge to my students. I noticed that few riders train their horses in a classical way and following a progressive and logical training system. I study, apply and teach the German Training System which is based on the principles established by François Robichond de la Guérinière.

Since 1999, I have actively participated in several clinics, seminars and symposiums on an annual basis. In as much as possible, I regularly travel to Europe and to the U.S. to meet and train with the international top riders. In 2002, I had the honor and privilege to train in Germany with our fellow Canadian Christilot Boylen who has successfully ridden in seven Olympic Games and with her trainer Udo Lange who has won over 40 classes of the Grand Prix. More recently, I trained with Gina Smith, Belinda Trussell, Diane Creech, Albrecht Heidemann, Christian Garweg, Margaret Diekmann, Uwe Schwanz. I have also attended many seminars and clinics given by Monty Roberts, Conrad Schumacher, Klaus Balkenhol, Ingrid Klimke, Debbie McDonald, Penny Zavitz-Rockx, Lisa Wilcox, Lars Peterson, Linda Zang, Pamela Goodrich ...

The promotion of dressage occupies most of my time. In 2001, I created the Internet Website Dressage Québec (www.dressagequebec.ca) and I manage it since. More recently, I founded the Site Dressage-Connection.
